“Being a queer woman of mixed ethnicity, my identity has always felt like a disjointed collage. I never really fit into one group and often felt pressured to answer that dehumanising question 'What are you?' and get uncomfortable when people try to guess my ethnicity without even asking my name.
Now, I am proud of my diverse heritage and of how far I've come in being accepting of myself, embracing my differences and the differences in others too. Diversity is strength.”
